Who is ShivA?
shivaShivA is a professional organisation for pastoral and spiritual care for people living with hiv/aids in the Netherlands:women and men,legal and without legal papers, straight, lesbian/gay, bi- and transsexual; Christian, Jew, Muslim, any other religion and without belief; hiv-positive, partner, family, friend or mourning a beloved one who died of aids.
Inga Mielitz is a pastor and working with positive people already for more than 16 years.
Marjo van Bergen has a humanistic background And worked in a hospital, in a prison and with elderly people before.

What is ShivA doing?
ShivA organises activities for people living with hiv/aids in The Netherlands, either together with other aids-organisations like PAMA, Hiv Vereniging Nederland, Buddy projects, Aids Fonds or independently.
Examples: Weekends for hiv-positive migrants, Retreat-weeks in a convent, International Aids Memorial Day, Volunteer trainings.

ShivA also advises professionals and volunteer-organisations about problems with belief and the sense of life which their clients might have.

You can also contact Marjo van Bergen and Inga Mielitz for talking confidently about what keeps you busy concerning hiv/aids. If you wish they can find an HIV-friendly pastor, imam or rabbi for you close to where you live.
